Are you willing to prepare through bi-weekly discussions and learning before December?
Then you could be with 36 Nobel Peace Laureates at their World Summit in Rome, Dec. 1 - 4, 2026. This could be a once-in-a-life-time opportunity to learn, be in conversations, be mentored. On December 1, the program will be arranged by "Leading by Example" youth program of the Nobel Laureates Permanent Secretariat and by Peace Jam https://www.peacejam.org/ . We will be using some of their curriculum to prepare.
Dec. 1, the “Leading by Example” is expected to include some events potentially involving Pope Leo XIV, although those details are still being worked out and have not yet been finalized or confirmed.

The world can no longer afford war. The newly released Global Peace Index 2026 reveals that we are at a critical point and things are getting worse. In terms of building peace in the world, the US ranks 134 out of 163 countries in the world. For 12 years globally money has been spent on war that is needed for human services.
Sr. Martha Ann Kirk is now working with the Charter for Compassion as the Coordinator of Compassionate Colleges and Universities Initiatives. The Charter has a partnership with the Nobel Peace Laureates Secretariat. See a brief introduction Nobel Peace Summit
We seek 50 young people from different parts of the world to attend. One could put on their resume "Learned from the Nobel Peace Laureates" You can say that this is expensive to go to Rome, but it is only a tiny fraction of what we are spending and will spend on war. Things are getting worse. Global Peace Index 2026.
July 16, 2026, Nobel Laureates signed the Rome Declaration on Nuclear Weapons and AI. "Nobel laureates, international experts and scientists, religious leaders, and former heads of state and government gathered at Rome's Capitoline Hill to sign the 'Rome Declaration for an Unarmed and Disarming Peace' in the Age of Artificial Intelligence and Nuclear Weapons. The joint appeal, in the face of immense challenges posed by nuclear weapons and AI, calls for renewed international cooperation." The Summit the first week of December will continue focusing on these crucial issues.
