About
You are invited to be with between 6 and 15 people for a meal to get to know each other sometime from September through December. Each meal group will have people from three of these faith traditions: Bahai, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Mandean, Muslim, Native American, or Sikh.
Those who register will have options. Decide with others if you would like to meet
- in a home or room which you select and you bring food or share the cost of food
- in a large space provided by a church, temple, mosque, synagogue, etc. and bring your food (one Sunday afternoon each month a large space will be provided)
- at Pashas (discounts for those in “Building Friendships” to eat there or to take out food for their groups' meal)
You will register what tradition you are with (Bahai, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Mandean, Muslim, Native American, or Sikh). We need leads for each faith tradition who will gather 2 to 5 people from your tradition. It could be you and your family with children old enough to participate in table conversation. Or a group of friends in your tradition.
If you have questions, contact the coordinator of Building Friendships, Sister Martha Ann Kirk kirk@uiwtx.edu 210-883-5934, at the University of the Incarnate Word.
