Peace on earth by 2030! Let's Play the Peace Game and Change the World.

What better way to serve the world, than building peace, so that you and future generations can live in safety and joy. Develop your leadership skills.

The Empowerment Institute,https://empowermentinstitute.net/  founded in 1981 by David Gershon and Gail Straub, has been a global leader for four decades in applying behavior change, community empowerment and transformative social change methodologies to address humanity's greatest challenges and opportunities. One of it's flagship initiatives, The Peace Game, to build Peace on Earth by 2030 https://peace2030.earth/ represents a bold and innovative approach to tackling some of the most pressing challenges facing humanity.

More and more members of the UIW community, the San Antonio community and friends have been participating in this 9-week program alongside individuals from various global locations with the aim of fostering "peace on earth by 2030"  The curriculum of the classes centers around seven established actions known for their effectiveness in promoting peacebuilding. The Afghan young women in the class were particularly inspiring in what they are doing in their country. They told us about 300 young women who graduated from the series. 

If you decide to be part of the Peace Game you will focus on each of the actions until the next gathering.  The gatherings could be weekly, or bi-weekly, or every three weeks. You have a team of three to help and and encourage each other through this journey. Never be frightened ! Remember, This game is meant to spread hope and inner happiness to individuals across the globe. We wholeheartedly urge you to join us in the upcoming series of the peace game.

An UIW SPS student in Psychology, Kira Gonzalez, describes her service experience doing the actions in the Peace Games in this way: 

 I had the privilege of being a part of the most recent Peace on Earth by 2030, created and led by David Gershon. This course that presented: empowerment , oneness, unity, cooperation, abundance, love, and faith. The participants were tasked with weekly assignments - each providing an opportunity for personal growth, through community, patience, and love. My experience was incredible. I feel incredibly fortunate to have been provided with an opportunity to participate in this course. My integration in my own personal life - and my community has improved and overall, the quality of my life has, as well. If wondering if you should participate in the course, I would 100% encourage anyone.”
