More than 2,700 Bexar County Residents have died from gun violence in the past five years. Roughly half of the 2700 were homicide victims and the other half suicide victims. Today, gun violence is the LEADING cause of death for kids and teens. The loss of so many lives is why we need to increase public awareness of and commitment to gun safety. VIDAS ROBADAS, STOLEN LIVES, is an installation that honors local victims of gun violence and connects the reality of gun violence to our community’s lived experience.
We hope to take the exhibit to the lawn of the capitol---with all cities participating. Keep educating people.
