About

I have had an interest in helping others for quite some time and since moving down to San Antonio I had no idea where to start or who to go to but with this class Poverty has opened that door of opportunity for me and even though I managed to attend one event I enjoyed it very much. I hope to attend many more.

United Way Days of Caring at the San Antonio Food Bank

I assisted in prep for a free public charter school to receive meals and snacks for their children. It was amazing to learn how much the San Antonio Food Bank helps the community. They also have many programs to assist people not only with food but to prepare finding work or whatever that person struggling may need. They work with many other companies to make it possible to help those needing assistance.

Houston Street Food Event benefiting the San Antonio Food Bank

This is a first for me especially in San Antonio, I had a great time and enjoyed seeing all the children eating and having a fun time with live music and the San Antonio Spurs mascot Coyote.
