I at first felt uncomfortable because I was not sure how to act or respond to everyone there. I was not even sure that so many people occupied the community. Everyone there was really nice and friendly and it was nice to see people happy for us to be there. It also felt good to know that we helped the staff a lot. I remember DJ (a worker there) telling us how they only have one custodian for 22 acres of campus and that with us helping that day, it really helped the cleaning staff.
It was a lot of work but it felt good giving back
The member who led the volunteer experience seemed to have everything well organized and planned.
