First Year Experience : Labyrinth Walk
About
A Labyrinth Walk to Your Center of Wisdom, Goodness, and Beauty
You are invited to walk the labyrinth, a form of meditation to still our minds and renew our hearts. This practice, valued by modern psychologists, goes back to ancient civilizations.
In Gothic Cathedrals people would walk the labyrinth as a symbolic way of making a pilgrimage to Jerusalem and walking where Jesus walked.
Come walk towards your center of wisdom, goodness, and beauty. Get to know and like yourself more as you find the still point within. Plan on half an hour or more for the “journey.” Consider bringing a journal that you might write in as you rest in wisdom. Introductory information will be available every half hour. Shoes are not allowed on the canvas Labyrinth so please have socks or go barefooted. Thank you.
See the link to a two-minute film introduction to walking the labyrinth https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSkJNmmKq9g&t=5s shared by Sister Martha Ann Kirk, a Teacher of Peace https://www.pbs.org/video/sister-martha-0ywmit/
