About
Learn about a new culture and pick up a sweet treat while you're at it!
Korean Name’s Workshop on Jan 27th at 12pm at the J. E. and L. E. Mabee Library Special Collections Room for Faculty & Staff. We’d like you to participate with our Korean International Students in our UIW community. Through this workshop we have students help show you what your name is spelled like and how your name is pronounced in Korean while also helping you understand and learn to pronounce common Korean student names like a native speaker. This is a fun workshop with some yummy complimentary treats provided to help teach Korean culture and language to the UIW community.
Here are a few words to help get you started!
- 안녕하세요 (annyeong haseyo) – “Hello”
- 감사합니다 (gamsahamnida) or 고마워요 (gomawoyo) – “Thank you”
- 네 (ne) or 예 (ye) – “Yes”
Do you know Korean? Want to help professors, staff, and faculty learn how?
