I’m sorry to say that due to concerns around the rising numbers of COVID-19 cases within our San Antonio Community and surrounding areas, the in-person March commemorating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy, planned for Monday, January 17, 2022, has been canceled.
However, I would like to invite you to consider honoring Dr. King and keeping his dream alive by joining us in the many DEI circles we have planned this spring semester. These are zoom gatherings for UIW students, faculty, and staff focused on issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). I am attaching a flyer that has a list of all the circles and a flyer that highlights a series of DEI circles called “Want Democracy?” that are focused on civic engagement for racial justice.
I hope to see you soon even if it is only through zoom right now.
Peace, ac
