Two hours of community service credit for each gathering! Gather with other students online for lively conversation and effective action.

First Gathering: 
Friday, October 16th from 3-5 pm

“How many earths are needed to sustain my lifestyle?” Track your global footprint and consider your daily lifestyle.  Unite with global groups to discover and live in more sustainable ways.  Preview the issues https://www.footprintcalculator.org/   


“How many slaves work for you?” Track how much slavery and oppressed labor is involved in what you use and do every day.  Unite with global groups to change that. We will take the quiz “How many slaves work for you?”  http://slaveryfootprint.org/survey/#where_do_you_live  Jennifer Reyes Lay who directs a national network and works with international networks will lead us in advocacy projects to eradicate modern-day slavery and to support access to survivor services. Going deeper into these two global challenges and our opportunities to transform our lives and influence global systems.  Dr. Ben Miele, a leader in campus efforts for sustainability who works with SUSTAIN the UIW student organization, will share at 3 pm. and Jennifer Reyes Lay at 4 pm.
